Where Old Ways Stay The Same
Where old ways stay the same
There’s usually a good reason
Ways don’t tend to disappear
When shown appreciation
Love, good manners, and kind regard
Tend to wither with neglect
Seasons change and pass with time
Transitioning unchecked
Until no longer remembered
Until unneeded anymore
Until with unfamiliar face
Love slowly closes the door

All so true, Aisha. Everything is moving too fast in this world, and much of it is the opposite of progress. People are too ready to sneer at tradition and manners, but what good the world without them.

Hi Sarah! So sorry I missed your visit, life has been crazy, with little time for my oasis here, unfortunately. Hope you are well, though! ❤ ❤ ❤

Hi Aisha! How lovely to hear from you. I have been very lax at visiting your oasis and other blogging havens of late. I do hope everything isn’t too fraught for you or your family, with everything that is going on in the world.

With unfamiliar face, love slowly closes the door. Wow. This poem is beautiful and the photo of that ‘Tonga’ thing, those old ways is wonderful.
Hope you are fine Aisha. I missed you !
Love and hugs.

Ahh sweet Lala, so sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner dear friend. I was away from my oasis here for quite some time, busy with so many other things. But all is well her, alhamdulillah, and insha’Allah, I hope you are well too! ❤ ❤ ❤

Egypt looks like such a special country!! Loving your posts and yes I think the pleasure in such cultures is simply that things don’t change as quick… Beautiful traditional ways are still respected and embraced ✨

wow, thanks for all your beautiful visits, I’m really happy you are enjoying my rustic views of Egypt. It is these simple little vignettes of life here that make me love this crazy country, inspite of all its ‘warts’ and negative aspects. I prefer to focus on, and share, the sweet, simple realities. Thanks again for your lovely visits, I will definitely come to sit down in your Kabul kitchen for a while, too, I’m looking forward to that! ;^) ❤ ❤ ❤
